We have an immediate opening for a Information Systems Support Engineer: Level 1 to join our team in Archbold, Ohio.
The primary focus of this position will be to support and maintain high-end voice, network, wireless, video surveillance and access control systems. Responsibilities will include basic help desk services, basic installation, training and problem resolution for both local and wide area networks in Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Williams and Wood counties. In addition, this position will perform meaningful assignments in our Information Systems group that will allow exposure to our business, our organization and technology offerings.

Become familiar with DataServ policies and procedures.
Represent DataServ in a positive manner to customer base and vendors.
Answer incoming support phone calls and document calls in ticket tracking system.
Perform help desk functions, including troubleshooting via both the phone and remote software.
Complete help desk support for routers, gateways, remote access servers, security firewalls, Internet or Intranet devices and connections.
Complete basic telephony maintenance as required.
Perform preventative and fault isolation maintenance on the local and wide area networks.
Perform COMS and IPTMS training.
Assist with staging activities for telephony, wireless, network, data center and compute installations.
Provide assistance and support on line of business applications.
Participate in customer project meetings.
Keep current on new developments and techniques in information technology.
Participate on special projects and Technical Assistance Center as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Knowledge of Windows and Mac OS
Understanding of the OSI model
Solid understanding of IP v4
Comprehensive understanding of various wiring infrastructure standards (EIA/TIA)
Strong analytical skills and effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a wide range of users having different levels of technology expertise
Requirements:
Associate's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent technical or professional experience related to the support of local and wide area network preferred
Technical certifications and/or technical training in local and wide area networks and/or communications is highly desirable
CCNA required within 90 days
Obtain additional certifications, as required
Availability to work nights and weekends
Must be able to travel to various company and customer sites as required
Able to frequently travel on a daily basis

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
